The duo will be riding their bicycles around the peninsula in 15 days to spread messages on HIV and AIDS to rural communities.
Kelvin, a pharmacist at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB), and Dalton, a third-year veterinary student at Universiti Putra Malaysia, started their journey here yesterday.

Kelvin said the tour, which they dubbed "1Malaysia Tour", would cover 2,250km and would make several stops before ending their journey here on Dec 31.

He said the tour was "our contribution to raise awareness on the dangers of HIV and AIDS".

"The tour will cover about 75 per cent of rural areas in the peninsula, and I hope my brother and I will be able to interact with the rural folks about the disease and provide information on the current HIV treatments available at government hospitals," he said before the tour was flagged off by HSB director Dr Juita Ghazalie yesterday.
